This is the beautiful Jen, who is having her second child in December. I really enjoy maternity photo shoots, it is such a special time and definitely needs to be documented, after all it usually only happens once or twice in your life! Personally I felt at my most beautiful during my pregnancies and I’m so glad that I got in front of the camera. I’m sure you’ll agree that Jen is glowing 🙂
Jen chose to shoot in bras & undies and implied topless, but don’t feel that you have to if that is not you. Your clothing choices for your maternity shoot are completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with.
Whether you are a previous client who has done a bridal boudoir shoot with me and now expecting a little one, or we haven’t met yet … let’s make a time to create some gorgeous pregnancy memories!
As a boudoir photographer who specialises in taking beautiful photos of women, maternity photography seems like such a natural extension of my business. So I am excited to now be offering maternity sessions!
Before specialising in boudoir photography 5 years ago, I was a family photographer for 10 years. So I have had a lot of experience with maternity sessions. The best time to have your maternity photo shoot is 4 weeks-6 weeks before your due date. You don’t want to have your photo shoot too early as then your bump won’t be as prominent. And you don’t want to wait too late as I know so many ladies who have had their babies weeks early and then missed out on having their maternity photos done.
Here are some photos taken this week in my Brisbane studio. Jen had such a large belly, as she is due in just a few weeks.
