Behind the scenes at a boudoir photo shoot

Well I’ve been meaning to do a behind the scenes video for two years now. It has taken me a little while to get around to it. To be honest I was dreading it – because I had to be in front of the camera for once. And us photographers don’t like to be on the other side of the camera.

Thanks to my videographer, Kathryn of Oh Lola Productions. And to my model Jen, who is a hair and makeup artists for Nikki Brown Photography and kindly offered to model.

Are you after some beautiful photos of your tattoos?

I love shooting inked girls! I recently photographed Jacqui, who is a part time model based on the Gold Coast. Her tattoos were such beautiful artwork. I envy tattoo artists for being able to create something that is appreciated every single day and carried around for all to see. It must be such a rewarding job.

For any photographers out there who need a gorgeous tattoo model, I really recommend you working with Jacqui. She has the longest legs I have ever seen, but even more importantly she really knows how to work it in front of the camera.

Gold Coast glamour photographer – Clair’s photo shoot

As a Gold Coast glamour photographer, every few months I book out a hotel apartment for the weekend so that girls can have their glamour shoot in a nice hotel room for minimal cost. My last hotel shoot weekend was at the beginning of May and it was then that I photographed Clair.

Clair was lucky enough to secure an afternoon time slot which meant she got to do shots both in the hotel room as well as swimsuit shots on the beach. It can be hard to decide between lingerie or swimwear for your photo shoot, so to do both styles in the one shoot is such a bonus.

As you will see from the photos Clair is a beautiful girl, and she was also lots of fun to shoot with. The weather was perfect, we had clear blue skies and the afternoon light had such a magical quality.

Gold Coast Glamour Photography – A testimonial

I have just had my first Gold Coast hotel shoot weekend, and it was amazing to hold glamour photography shoots there! The hotel room had the most spectacular views of the ocean, and as the hotel was right on the beachfront the lucky girls with an afternoon spot were able to do both boudoir photos in the hotel room and then some swimsuit photos on the beach.

I couldn’t believe my bad luck that I broke my toe right before the weekend and got told by the doctor that I had to stay off it for several days! I just made sure to put my feet up at every possible chance. I will definitely be doing many more hotel shoot weekends, so stay posted for final dates.

One of the girls I photographed during the hotel weekend sent me the most lovely email after she saw her images last night. She has said it is fine for me to share her email, and this is what she wrote:

‘It was such a pleasure to have met you! you are so nice and amazing to work with..never felt so relaxed with someone..and i have never felt so beautiful:-) the images were all so beautiful!! its so hard to choose from !!! aaaaaaaahhhhh! ;-P i will definitely recommend you to my friends..your work is absolutely stunning.. thank you so much Nikki.. it so nice to meet such a beautiful lady inside and out.. take care always.. and keep up the good work of making an everyday woman feel the most beautiful in the world.’
